RETIRED

When one of our puppies is selected to become a breeding dog, they are placed with a carefully selected guardian family at around 8 weeks of age. The guardian family provides a loving home for the dog and is responsible for daily care, including feeding, exercise, and grooming.

Once the dog is of breeding age, we have health and genetic testing done. When the dog has met all requirements and comes of age, the dog is then bred with a carefully chosen mate to produce the next generation of puppies.

All Moms of Great North stay here in our home with our family until the puppies are weaned. The breeding dog then returns to their guardian family, where they resume their role as a beloved family member, and the puppies are placed in their new forever homes.

MEET BAILEY

Bailey was our very first Mom here at Great North. She produced 27 healthy puppies. Bailey is living happily with her family and her new doggie brother Leo who came from Great North’s Misty and Steve’s Charlottes Web litter.
